What are schools coming to these days?

Here's a story Jim passed on to me from today when he picked up Tyler from school and took the kids to lunch as I was taking care of house-buying details:

At lunch Tyler said he wasn't very hungry and had a stomach ache. Jim asked if he had anything to eat at school.

Tyler: "Yea, beer."
Jim: "You had beer at school?"
Tyler: "Yea, with my ice cream. I had two servings of ice cream and three servings of beer."

We're assuming the beer he had was of the "root" variety. If it wasn't, he can certainly hold his liquor because we didn't notice any other effects!
