Emily's mind is an enjoyable mystery to me. In many ways I can relate to how she processes information and sees the world (and that is rather scary at times). It takes me back to the childlike perspective. Other times, she seems more mature and perceptive than a lot of adults. Whichever the case, very consistently she is creative and imaginative.
This morning when I told her daddy would be coming over for something, she asked, "Which daddy? The one who married you before Tyler and I were going to be born?"
When I asked what other daddy she thought it might be, she laughed and acknowledged she only had one but wouldn't it be funny if there were more and went into a discourse on how interesting it would be to have both a step-dad and a step-mom and they could be married to each other.
From other observations, I believe the titles are arbitrary to her. She knows who her Dad and Mom and brother are, and that she has a step-mom and step-siblings, but the titles she interchanges without a lot of thought (she calls Jim mommy and me daddy often after being with the other one of us.)
