Soccer

Tyler has been doing MicroBlitz soccer this spring. So far the weather has not allowed many of the scheduled games or practices. The picture to the left is from their first game, which was cold, as evidenced by the players all wearing coats (Tyler's is under his jersey - made him look really beefy and tough!)

His has a friend on the team and the coach is a family friend. Katelyn, Tyler's step-sister, is the assistant coach (she is big into soccer and has been doing Blitz soccer for several years). The coach of an opposing team that we are scheduled to play often is a gal we know from Jim's work and one of Tyler's classmates is on her team. So small world on the soccer field! Tyler has many supporters on the sidelines, with most games his fan club including me, Emily, Jim, Shyree, Shyree's parents and sometimes Zach.

About Tyler and soccer: he seems to have taken to it and is consistent about staying with the ball, paying attention and getting in there, though he isn't what I would call an aggressive player by any means. He seems to like it and enjoys the all the running. Good way to burn off energy!!
