Painting

The kids were excited to paint their room. They helped pick the colors and were good painters. They lasted a lot longer at the project than I expected, though the second coat was not of interest to them (understandable - for me, too, the fun of painting is in seeing the immediate change. Second coats of paint are so. . . dull though necessary. So I got to do that, as well as all the edges (and the ceiling.) I had visions of spilled paint, big messes to clean-up and other such things. They did no worse than I did and were probably more careful, if less skilled.

We are not quite done decorating the room after painting. Have to get a few more pieces of the furniture in there and some other decor hung on the walls, then I will post the "finished" pictures. In the meantime, know that it looks good and is very cheerful. Most importantly, Tyler and Emily are very happy with the outcome and especially pleased with their participation in the project.
