Warning - this might be slightly gory - but rather humorous:
Tyler was telling me how excited he was to go to a friend's house because his little friend has some cool toys. "Like what?" I asked. "A hobby horse," was the reply. For whatever reason, I felt like playing it a little, so I asked him what a hobby horse was. This is his reply, as verbatim as I can remember:
"Oh, hobby horses are easy to explain, Mom. First, they take a real horse and kill it. Then they cut off the head at the neck, like this (as he illustrates on his own neck), then they put the head on a stick - though I'm not sure how they make it stick there - then you hold onto the stick and can ride around like you are on a horse."
When I asked if he was sure if they used real horses or if maybe it was more like a stuffed animal, he replied candidly that he wasn't "positively sure", but he thought so. I suggested next time he had the chance he should feel it and look at it closer and let me know what he thought.

The next big thing is hobby deer. Horse heads are a bit scarce here, but deer heads abound. Every other city kid has a hobby horse but I'll bet none of them have ridden a hobby deer.
You should find out how Ken and Barbie are made.
Thanks for sharing! Its fun to read!
